Law Practice
:
After graduating from law school at the College of William & Mary, Brooke moved to Harrisonburg and began her legal career at Litten & Sipe L.L.P., before joining Hoover Penrod in January, 2025. Brooke has worked with many clients over the years to develop both simple and complex solutions for their estate planning needs, including the use of wills, trusts, transfer certificates, transfer-on-death deeds, advance medical directives, and powers of attorney. Brooke uses her experience with corporate law, real estate law, non-probate transfers, and traditional estate planning tools to develop a comprehensive plan to meet her client’s estate planning goals.
Brooke has also helped many of her clients navigate through the entire process of both residential and commercial real estate transactions. From the commencement of a transaction to the conclusion, she has helped her clients by reviewing plats and title reports, examining title issues, developing and implementing plans to resolve title issues, communicating with banks and title companies, and drafting documents necessary to complete a transaction. These documents include contracts, deeds, easements, certificates of satisfaction, deeds of trust, modification agreements, and promissory notes. Brooke also has substantial experience subdividing properties through the use of family divisions, non-family divisions, and grantor-to-self divisions.
Brooke has been recognized in Virginia Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite” and as a Virginia “Super Lawyers Rising Star”.
